ADW LEGISLATION SUPPORT VOTE

The vote to support or reject legislation to allow the continuance of ADW was taken Monday, Oct. 15^th in both Northern and Southern California.

The final vote was 115 - yes (to support), 24 - no, 1 - voided.

For the support of legislation, the contract was extended 2 years through the 2011 Fairplex meet with no reduction in crew size from the final 2008 numbers.

The $65.00 Sunday Premium was given to the Northern Thoroughbred Tracks and all of the Fair meets.

There were also increases in contributions to the pension, and to the 280 retirees' fund.

In addition, those persons who made contributions for their Health and Welfare benefits for the period, August 2005 thru April 2006, will have those surcharges refunded to them before Christmas.
