New Member Information

Permit workers who have completed at least 15 days of work during the last eighteen months (January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008) should forward their Union application along with copies of their pay stubs and their California License to the Union office by June 30, 2008.

Inductions are held twice a year, usually in February and July.

Approximately a month before the induction, letters are forwarded to the inductees informing them of the time/place of induction and the fees they must pay at that time.

Normal fees -- $250.00 Induction Fee

$263.00 -1/2 YR dues will vary from yr to yr

$30-80 -- Permit fees - varies depending upon where inductee worked their 15 permit days

Total Cost -- Ranges from $543.00 to $593.00 (approximates only)

Seniority Numbers are assigned within 30 days of induction. Seniority numbers are based upon the date that each inductee was issued his/her License by the CHRB. New Inductees are ranked prior to induction and informed of the order in which seniority numbers will be assigned on induction day.
